TOYOTA PARKING ASSIST-SENSOR SYSTEM Clearance Sonar Main Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The integration control and panel assembly is installed at the base of the driver side of the instrument panel.

When the clearance sonar main switch is turned on, an on signal is sent to the clearance warning ECU assembly. The Toyota parking assist-sensor system operates according to this signal.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body / Clearance Sonar / Data List.

    5. According to the display on the intelligent tester, read the Data List.

      • The display changes as shown above when the clearance sonar main switch is operated.


      • "Normal" is displayed.

      • "Normal" is displayed.

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Disconnect the F2 connector from the clearance warning ECU assembly.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      F2-1 (CLSW) - G31-8 (ECU) Always Below 1 Ω
      F2-1 (CLSW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
