NAVIGATION SYSTEM Reverse Signal Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The navigation ECU sub-assembly receives a reverse signal from the park/neutral position switch assembly to use for adjusting the vehicle position on the navigation display.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REVERSE SIGNAL)


    1. Disconnect the F23 navigation ECU sub-assembly connector (w/ Front Center Speaker).

    2. Disconnect the F36 navigation ECU sub-assembly connector (w/o Front Center Speaker).

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      w/ Front Center Speaker
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F23-57 (REV) - Body ground

      Engine switch on (IG)

      Shift lever in R

      11 to 14 V
      F23-57 (REV) - Body ground

      Engine switch on (IG)

      Shift lever in any position other than R

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY - PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the F23 navigation ECU sub-assembly connector (w/ Front Center Speaker).

    2. Disconnect the F36 navigation ECU sub-assembly connector (w/o Front Center Speaker).

    3. Disconnect the D3 park/neutral position switch assembly connector.

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      w/ Front Center Speaker (for 2GR-FE)

      F23-57 (REV) - D3-2 (RL) Always Below 1 Ω
      F23-57 (REV) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    1. Disconnect the D3 park/neutral position switch assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      D3-1 (RB) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      for 2AZ-FE
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition

    3. Proceed to the next step based on the check result.
