DESCRIPTION

The navigation ECU sub-assembly and stereo component amplifier assembly are connected by the MOST communication line.

When a MOST communication error occurs between the navigation ECU sub-assembly and stereo component amplifier assembly, this DTC will be stored.

Tech Tips

For the MOST network, the navigation ECU sub-assembly is the master unit.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING)


    1. Check for optional components.


      1. Check that optional components (including associated wiring) which generate radio waves are not installed.

        Tech Tips


        • Electrical noise from radio waves generated by optional components or the wiring for those components may affect MOST communication.

        • This DTC may be stored when a MOST communication error occurs due to electrical noise.

    1. Disconnect the F28 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      F28-2 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      F28-6 (GND2) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Disconnect the F30 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the F31 navigation ECU sub-assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F30-2 (MI+) - F31-5 (MO+) Always Below 1 Ω
      F30-3 (MI-) - F31-6 (MO-) Always Below 1 Ω
      F30-4 (SLDI) - F31-7 (SLDO) Always Below 1 Ω
      F30-2 (MI+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F30-3 (MI-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F30-4 (SLDI) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    1. Disconnect the F30 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the S4 television display assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      F30-5 (MO+) - S4-2 (MI+) Always Below 1 Ω
      F30-6 (MO-) - S4-3 (MI-) Always Below 1 Ω
      F30-7 (SLDO) - S4-4 (SLDI) Always Below 1 Ω
      F30-5 (MO+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F30-6 (MO-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  7. REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY
