AUDIO AND VISUAL SYSTEM Sound Signal Circuit between Radio Receiver and Television Display Assembly

DESCRIPTION

The television display assembly sends the sound signal to the radio receiver assembly through this circuit.

If there is an open or short in the circuit, sound cannot be heard from the speakers even if there is no malfunction in the radio receiver assembly, television display assembly or speakers.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the radio receiver assembly and television display assembly connectors.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      S6-11 (SLD9) - F13-1 (CSLD) Always Below 1 Ω
      S6-9 (R+) - F13-2 (CDR+) Always Below 1 Ω
      S6-10 (R-) - F13-3 (CDR-) Always Below 1 Ω
      S6-7 (L+) - F13-4 (CDL+) Always Below 1 Ω
      S6-8 (L-) - F13-5 (CDL-) Always Below 1 Ω
      S6-11 (SLD9) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      S6-9 (R+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      S6-10 (R-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      S6-7 (L+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      S6-8 (L-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    2. Check the waveform according to the conditions shown in the table below.
