PARKING BRAKE CABLE INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly to the body with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }
    2. A01CEPR

      Install the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly to the body with the bolt.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }
    3. A01CB91

      Install the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly to the backing plate with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }
  2. INSTALL NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE SHOE ASSEMBLY LH

  3. INSTALL NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY

      Install the No. 2 parking brake cable assembly to the body through the body hole.

    2. A01CDE6

      Install the No. 1 parking brake cable clamp to the No. 2 parking brake cable assembly.

    3. Install the No. 2 parking brake cable assembly to the body with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }
    4. A01CAV6

      Install the No. 2 parking brake cable assembly to the body with the bolt.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }
    5. A01CBLQ

      Install the No. 2 parking brake cable assembly to the backing plate with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }
  4. INSTALL NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE SHOE ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the No. 2 parking brake shoe assembly LH.

  5. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE EQUALIZER

      Connect the No. 2 parking brake cable assembly and No. 3 parking brake cable assembly to the parking brake equalizer.

  6. INSTALL NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY


    1. A01CDMY

      Install the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly to the parking brake control pedal assembly with a new clip.

    2. A01CFDUE01

      Install the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly to the parking brake control pedal assembly through the guide, and temporarily tighten the No. 1 wire adjusting nut and lock nut.

      Tech Tips

      Completely tighten the lock nut when adjusting the parking brake pedal travel.

    3. Using needle-nose pliers, bend the claw of the parking brake control pedal assembly.
