TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN FRONT DISC BRAKE BLEEDER PLUG
Tech Tips
Fully tighten the front disc brake bleeder plug after bleeding any air left in the system.
INSTALL FRONT DISC BRAKE BLEEDER PLUG CAP
INSTALL PISTON SEAL
Apply a light layer of lithium soap base glycol grease to the entire circumference of a new piston seal as shown in the illustration.
Install the piston seal to the front disc brake cylinder assembly.
Note
Securely install the piston seal into the groove of the front disc brake cylinder.
INSTALL FRONT DISC BRAKE PISTON
Apply a light layer of lithium soap base glycol grease to the entire circumference of a new cylinder boot as shown in the illustration.
Apply a light layer of lithium soap base glycol grease to the entire circumference of the front disc brake piston as shown in the illustration.
Install the cylinder boot to the front disc brake piston.
Note
Securely install the cylinder boot into the piston groove of the front disc brake cylinder.
Install the front disc brake piston to the front disc brake cylinder assembly.
Note
Do not force the front disc brake piston when installing it to the front disc brake cylinder assembly.
INSTALL CYLINDER BOOT
Install the cylinder boot to the front disc brake cylinder assembly.
Note
Do not damage the cylinder boot.
Securely install the cylinder boot to the groove of the front disc brake cylinder assembly.
