BRAKE BOOSTER REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL SUPPORT ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS


    1. Remove the brake master cylinder push rod clevis and lock nut from the brake booster assembly.

      Tech Tips

      Measure the protrusion of the push rod from the brake master cylinder push rod clevis. Using this measurement as a reference will make it easier to perform the brake pedal height adjustment procedure after the brake booster assembly is installed.

  3. REMOVE BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

      Move the clamp and disconnect the vacuum hose from the brake booster assembly.

    2. A01CB3N

      Using a union nut wrench (10 mm) and a union nut wrench (12 mm), disconnect the 6 brake lines from the brake actuator assembly.

      *2 To front wheel cylinder LH
      *3 To rear wheel cylinder RH
      *4 To rear wheel cylinder LH
      *5 From 2nd brake line of master cylinder
      *6 From 1st brake line of master cylinder

      Use tags or make a memo to identify the places to reconnect the brake lines.

    4. A01CFKH

      Using a union nut wrench (10 mm), disconnect the 4 brake lines.

    5. A01CC00

      Disengage the 5 clamps.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the brake lines or clamps. If any parts are damaged, replace them with new ones.

    6. A01CB4O

      Remove the bolt and separate the brake lines from the body.

    7. Cover the threads on the push rod of the brake booster assembly with protective tape.

    8. Remove the brake booster assembly.

      Note

      Do not apply excessive force to the brake lines.

  4. REMOVE BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY (for RHD)


    1. A01CCAJ

      Move the clamp and disconnect the vacuum hose from the brake booster assembly.

    2. A01CDUI

      Disengage the 3 clamps and move the brake lines clear of the booster.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the brake lines or clamps. If any parts are damaged, replace them with new ones.

    3. Cover the threads on the push rod of the brake booster assembly with protective tape.

    4. Remove the brake booster assembly.

      Note

      Do not apply excessive force to the brake lines.

  5. REMOVE BRAKE BOOSTER GASKET


    1. Remove the brake booster gasket from the brake booster assembly.
