BRAKE PEDAL REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Refer to the instructions for removal of the brake master cylinder sub-assembly Click here.

  3. SEPARATE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS

      Remove the clip and brake master cylinder push rod clevis pin and separate the brake master cylinder push rod clevis from the brake pedal support assembly.

  4. REMOVE STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. A01CEC8

      Turn the stop light switch assembly counterclockwise and remove the stop light switch assembly.

  5. REMOVE STOP LIGHT SWITCH MOUNTING ADJUSTER

      Disengage the 2 claws and remove the stop light switch mounting adjuster.

  6. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL SUPPORT ASSEMBLY


    1. A01CDP3

      Disconnect the clamp and connector from the brake pedal support assembly.

    2. A01CDE9

      Remove the bolt and separate the brake pedal support assembly from the instrument panel reinforcement.

    3. A01CD5T

      Remove the 4 nuts and brake pedal support assembly.

      Note

      Do not apply excessive force to the brake lines.

      Tech Tips

      Push out the brake booster assembly toward the engine compartment if necessary.
