Note
Because the left and right rear flexible hoses are not interchangeable, verify the part number when installing the flexible hoses.
If the hoses are to be reused, connect them after checking the identification marks placed when each hose was disconnected.
INSTALL REAR FLEXIBLE HOSE LH
Install the rear flexible hose LH to the rear disc brake cylinder assembly with a new union bolt and a new gasket.
Install the rear flexible hose LH to the bracket with a new clip.
Note
Check the inner part of the clip and make sure that it is correctly installed.
Using a union nut wrench (10 mm), while holding the rear flexible hose LH with a wrench, connect the brake tube to the rear flexible hose LH.
Note
Do not kink or damage the brake line.
Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt and dust to enter the brake line.
Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 250 mm (9.84 in.).
This torque value is effective when the union nut wrench is parallel to the torque wrench.
INSTALL REAR BRAKE TUBE FLEXIBLE HOSE
For LH side
Install the rear brake tube flexible hose to the body with 2 new clips.
Note
Check the inner part of the clip and make sure that it is correctly installed.
While holding the rear brake tube flexible hose LH with a wrench, connect the brake tube to the rear brake tube flexible hose using a union nut wrench (10 mm). Perform this step for both ends of the hose.
Note
Do not kink or damage the brake line.
Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt and dust to enter the brake line.
Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 250 mm (9.84 in.).
This torque value is effective when the union nut wrench is parallel to the torque wrench.
For RH side
Install the rear brake tube flexible hose to the body with 2 new clips.

While holding the rear brake tube flexible hose with a wrench, connect the brake tube to the rear brake tube flexible hose using a union nut wrench (10 mm). Perform this step for both ends of the hose.
