REAR BRAKE FLEXIBLE HOSE INSTALLATION

Note

  • Because the left and right rear flexible hoses are not interchangeable, verify the part number when installing the flexible hoses.

  • If the hoses are to be reused, connect them after checking the identification marks placed when each hose was disconnected.

  1. INSTALL REAR FLEXIBLE HOSE LH

    1. A01CB27E01

      Install the rear flexible hose LH to the rear disc brake cylinder assembly with a new union bolt and a new gasket.

      Torque:
      29 N*m  { 300 kgf*cm, 22 ft.*lbf }
    2. Install the rear flexible hose LH to the bracket with a new clip.

      Note

      Check the inner part of the clip and make sure that it is correctly installed.

    3. Using a union nut wrench (10 mm), while holding the rear flexible hose LH with a wrench, connect the brake tube to the rear flexible hose LH.

      Torque:
      without a union nut wrench
      15 N*m  { 155 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf }
      with a union nut wrench
      14 N*m  { 143 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      • Do not kink or damage the brake line.

      • Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt and dust to enter the brake line.

      • Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 250 mm (9.84 in.).

      • This torque value is effective when the union nut wrench is parallel to the torque wrench.

  2. INSTALL REAR BRAKE TUBE FLEXIBLE HOSE

    1. For LH side

      1. A01CD3RE01

        Install the rear brake tube flexible hose to the body with 2 new clips.

        Note

        Check the inner part of the clip and make sure that it is correctly installed.

      2. While holding the rear brake tube flexible hose LH with a wrench, connect the brake tube to the rear brake tube flexible hose using a union nut wrench (10 mm). Perform this step for both ends of the hose.

        Torque:
        without a union nut wrench
        15 N*m  { 155 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf }
        with a union nut wrench
        14 N*m  { 143 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf }

        Note

        • Do not kink or damage the brake line.
