FRONT STABILIZER BAR (for 2AZ-FE) REMOVAL


  1. PLACE FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD

  2. SECURE STEERING WHEEL

      Secure the steering wheel with the seat belt in order to prevent rotation.

      Tech Tips

      This operation is useful to prevent damage to the spiral cable.

  3. REMOVE FRONT WHEELS

  4. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER (for Front Side)

      Remove the 5 clips and the No. 2 engine under cover.

  5. REMOVE FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01CDQT

      Remove the 2 nuts and the front stabilizer link assembly LH.

      Note

      If the ball joint turns together with the nut, use a hexagon wrench (6 mm) to hold the stud.

  6. REMOVE FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

  7. SEPARATE FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

      Remove the bolt and 2 nuts, and separate the front lower suspension arm sub-assembly RH from the front lower ball joint.

  8. REMOVE FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

      Remove the 2 bolts, nut, and front lower suspension arm sub-assembly RH from the front suspension crossmember sub-assembly.

  9. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER FRONT BRACE LH

      Remove the 4 bolts and front suspension member front brace LH.

  10. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER FRONT BRACE RH

    Tech Tips

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

  11. REMOVE FRONT STABILIZER BAR

      Remove the front stabilizer bar from the front suspension crossmember sub-assembly.

  12. REMOVE NO. 1 FRONT STABILIZER BAR BUSHING


    1. Remove the 2 No. 1 front stabilizer bar bushings from the front stabilizer bar.
