Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
The procedure listed below is for the LH side.
REMOVE REAR WHEEL
SEPARATE REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY
Remove the 2 bolts and separate rear disc brake caliper assembly from the backing plate.
Note
Do not disconnect the rear flexible hose from the rear disc brake caliper assembly.
Use wire or an equivalent tool to keep the rear disc brake caliper assembly from hanging down by the rear flexible hose.
REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE ADJUSTING HOLE PLUG
Remove the parking brake shoe adjusting hole plug from the rear disc.
REMOVE REAR DISC
Put matchmarks on the rear disc and axle hub.
Release the parking brake.
Turn the shoe adjuster to contract it until the disc turns freely, and then remove the rear disc.
INSPECT REAR AXLE HUB BEARING LOOSENESS
Using a dial indicator, check for looseness near the center of the axle hub.

Note
Ensure that the dial indicator is set perpendicular to the measurement surface.
If the looseness exceeds the maximum, replace the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.
INSPECT REAR AXLE HUB RUNOUT
Using a dial indicator, check for runout on the surface of the axle hub inside the rear axle hub bolt.

Note
Ensure that the dial indicator is set perpendicular to the measurement surface.
Make sure to install the tip of the dial indicator towards the inside of the rear axle hub bolt.
If the runout exceeds the maximum, replace the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.
INSTALL REAR DISC
Align the matchmarks and install the disc.
Note
When replacing the disc with a new one, select the installation position where the disc has the minimum runout.
INSTALL PARKING BRAKE SHOE ADJUSTING HOLE PLUG
INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY
Install the rear disc brake caliper assembly with the 2 bolts.
