REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
Loosen the radiator drain cock plug and drain the coolant.
CAUTION:
Do not remove the reserve tank cap, cylinder block drain cock plug and radiator drain cock plug while the engine or radiator are still hot. Pressurized, hot engine coolant and steam may be released and cause serious burns.
Tech Tips
Collect the coolant in a container and dispose of it according to the local regulations.
Remove the reserve tank cap.
Loosen the cylinder block drain cock plug. (except TMC Made)

Loosen the cylinder block drain cock plug. (for TMC Made w/o Oil Cooler)
Loosen the water drain cock plug. (for TMC Made w/ Oil Cooler)
DRAIN CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSAXLE FLUID
Using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the overflow plug and gasket from the continuously variable transaxle assembly.

Using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the No. 1 transmission oil filler tube from the continuously variable transaxle assembly and drain the continuously variable transaxle fluid.
Using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, install the No. 1 transmission oil filler tube to the continuously variable transaxle assembly.
Temporarily install the gasket and overflow plug.
Tech Tips
Reuse the old gasket. The plug will be removed again to adjust the fluid level.
REMOVE RADIATOR COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Using a clip remover, remove the 4 clips and radiator cover sub-assembly.
DISCONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE
Disconnect the wire clamp.
Disconnect the No. 1 radiator hose.
DISCONNECT WATER BY-PASS HOSE (w/o Air Cooled Transmission Oil Cooler)
Disconnect the clamp from the water by-pass hose.
Release the 2 clamps and disconnect the 2 water by-pass hoses from the oil cooler.
DISCONNECT WATER BY-PASS HOSE (w/ Air Cooled Transmission Oil Cooler)
Release the 2 clamps and disconnect the 2 water by-pass hoses from the oil cooler.
REMOVE OIL COOLER HOSE (w/o Air Cooled Transmission Oil Cooler)
Release the 4 clamps and remove the 2 oil cooler hoses from the oil cooler and continuously variable transaxle assembly.
Remove the 4 clamps from the 2 oil cooler hoses.
REMOVE OIL COOLER HOSE (w/ Air Cooled Transmission Oil Cooler)
Release the 4 clamps and remove the 2 oil cooler hoses from the oil cooler and continuously variable transaxle assembly.

Release the 3 clamps and remove the 3 inlet oil cooler hoses from the outlet oil cooler tube.
Remove the 6 clamps from the 3 inlet oil cooler hoses.
Release the 3 clamps and remove the 3 outlet No. 1 oil cooler hoses from the outlet oil cooler tube.
Remove the 6 clamps from the 3 outlet No. 1 oil cooler hoses.
REMOVE OIL COOLER
Remove the 3 bolts and oil cooler from the continuously variable transaxle assembly.
