AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

  1. REMOVE ENGINE ASSEMBLY WITH TRANSAXLE

    Click here

  2. REMOVE FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR

      Remove the through bolt, nut and front engine mounting insulator.

  3. REMOVE REAR ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR


    1. A01CF63

      Remove the through bolt and rear engine mounting insulator.

  4. REMOVE MANIFOLD STAY


    1. A01CF09

      Remove the 2 bolts, nut and manifold stay.

  5. REMOVE FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET


    1. A01CFRU

      Remove the 3 bolts and front engine mounting bracket.

  6. REMOVE REAR ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET


    1. A01CDII

      Remove the 3 bolts and rear engine mounting bracket.

  7. REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY


    1. A01CD0EE01

      Disconnect the starter connector.

    2. Open the terminal cap, remove the nut and disconnect the starter wire.

    3. A01CFED

      Remove the bolt and wire harness clamp bracket.

    4. A01CDFS

      Remove the 2 bolts and starter.

  8. REMOVE TCM


    1. A01CCDY

      Turn the lock lever and disconnect the connector from the TCM.

    2. A01CBPP

      Remove the 2 bolts and TCM from the transaxle.

  9. SEPARATE WIRE HARNESS


    1. A01CFCO

      Remove the bolt and ground cable.

    2. Separate the park/neutral position switch connector and 4 wire harnesses clamps.

  10. REMOVE TRANSMISSION BREATHER SKIRT


    1. A01CBQZE02

      Slide the clip and disconnect the breather plug hose from the transmission breather skirt.

    2. Remove the bolt and transmission breather skirt from the engine cylinder head.

  11. REMOVE AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY


    1. A01CBVQ

      Remove the 11 bolts and transaxle.

      Note

      To prevent damage to the knock pins, do not pry between the transaxle and engine.

  12. REMOVE WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET


    1. A01CAX3

      Remove the 3 bolts and 3 wire harness clamp brackets from the transaxle.

  13. REMOVE ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET LH


    1. A01CAMM

      Remove the 4 bolts and engine mounting bracket LH from the automatic transaxle assembly.

  14. REMOVE NO. 1 TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE BRACKET


    1. A01CDI7

      Remove the 2 bolts and No. 1 transmission control cable bracket from the automatic transaxle assembly.

  15. REMOVE SPEEDOMETER DRIVEN HOLE (ATM) COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01CG5E

      Remove the bolt and speedometer driven hole (ATM) cover sub-assembly from the automatic transaxle assembly.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the speedometer driven hole (ATM) cover sub-assembly.

  16. REMOVE TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH ASSEMBLY

      Remove the torque converter clutch assembly from the automatic transaxle assembly.
