PARK / NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the park/neutral position switch to the manual valve shaft.

    2. Temporarily install the 2 bolts.

      Install a new lock plate and tighten the nut.

      Torque:
      6.9 N*m  { 70 kgf*cm, 61 in.*lbf }
    4. Temporarily install the control shaft lever.

    5. A01CDWNE01

      Turn the lever counterclockwise until it stops, and then turn it clockwise 2 notches.

    6. Remove the control shaft lever.

      *b Lock Plate Protrusion

      Align the lock plate protrusion with neutral basic line.

    8. Hold the park/neutral position switch in this position and tighten the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }
    9. A01CCXC

      Using a screwdriver, stake the nut with the lock plate.

    10. Install the control shaft lever with the nut and washer.

      Torque:
      13 N*m  { 133 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf }
    11. Connect the transmission control cable assembly to the control shaft lever with the nut.

      Torque:
      12 N*m  { 122 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }
    12. Connect the park/neutral position switch connector.

  2. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

  3. ADJUST SHIFT LEVER POSITION
