INTAKE SYSTEM ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT INTAKE SYSTEM


    1. Check that there are no vacuum leaks at the points shown in the illustration.

  2. INSPECT INTAKE AIR CONTROL VALVE


    1. Remove the V-bank cover Click here.

    2. Perform the following inspection procedure when using the intelligent tester:


      1. Stop the engine.

      2. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

      3. Start the engine and turn the intelligent tester on.

      4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Active Test / Active the VSV for Intake Control.

      5. Make sure that a clicking sound is heard from the intake air control valve when current flows.

    3. Perform the following inspection procedure when applying voltage between the terminals:


      1. A01CFIOE01

        Disconnect the connector from the intake air control valve.

      2. A01CARJ

        Apply battery voltage between terminals 2 (+) and 1 (-) of the intake air control valve. Check that a clicking sound is heard from the intake air control valve.
