Tech Tips

When installing the back door outside garnish protector, heat the back door outside garnish surface using a heat light.

Note

Do not heat the back door outside garnish excessively.


  1. INSTALL BACK DOOR OUTSIDE GARNISH PROTECTOR

      for Back Door Outside Garnish:


      1. When using a new back door outside garnish:


        1. Clean the back door outside garnish surface.

        2. Using a heat light, heat the back door outside garnish surface.

      2. When reusing the back door outside garnish:


        1. Using a heat light, heat the back door outside garnish surface.

        2. Remove the double-sided tape from the back door outside garnish.

        3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

      3. Install the back door outside garnish protector.

      for No. 2 Back Door Outside Garnish:


      1. When using a new No. 2 back door outside garnish:


        1. Clean the No. 2 back door outside garnish surface.

        2. Using a heat light, heat the No. 2 back door outside garnish surface.

      2. When reusing the No. 2 back door outside garnish:


        1. Using a heat light, heat the No. 2 back door outside garnish surface.

        2. Remove the double-sided tape from the No. 2 back door outside garnish.

        3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

      3. Install the back door outside garnish protector.

  2. INSTALL NO. 2 BACK DOOR OUTSIDE GARNISH


    1. Attach the 4 claws to install the No. 2 back door outside garnish.

    2. Install the 9 screws.

  3. INSTALL LUGGAGE ELECTRICAL KEY SWITCH (w/ Entry and Start System)

  4. INSTALL NO. 1 BACK DOOR GARNISH RETAINER


    1. Install the No. 1 back door garnish retainer with the 3 screws.

  5. INSTALL LICENSE PLATE LIGHT ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the 2 lights with the 4 screws.

    2. Connect the connector.

  6. INSTALL LICENSE PLATE LIGHT CORD (w/o Entry and Start System)


    1. Connect the connector to install the license plate light cord.
