HEADLIGHT LEVELING SWITCH INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT HEADLIGHT LEVELING SWITCH

      Component without harness connected

      (Headlight Leveling Switch)

      Connect the positive (+) lead of the battery to terminal 1 (B) and the negative (-) lead to terminal 4 (E).

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      1 (B) - 2 (T) 0 10.4 to 11.2 V
      1 8.52 to 9.24 V
      2 6.6 to 7.32 V
      3 4.68 to 5.4 V
      4 2.76 to 3.48 V
      5 0.84 to 1.56 V

    3. Apply battery voltage to the connector and check the LED illumination condition.

      OK
      Measurement Condition Specified Condition

      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 3 (ILL+)

      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4 (E)

      		 LED illuminates

      If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight leveling switch.
