FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Bench Seat Type) INSTALLATION

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.


  1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Place the front seat assembly RH in the cabin.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

      Pass the front seat lap outer belt sub-assembly through the hole of the front seat cushion to the surface.

      Note

      Do not twist the front seat lap outer belt sub-assembly.

      *1 Rubber Band

      Pass the front seat lap outer belt sub-assembly through the rubber band of the front seat inner belt assembly RH.

      Note

      Do not twist the front seat lap outer belt sub-assembly.

    4. Connect the anchor part of the front seat lap outer belt sub-assembly with the bolt.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not pinch the carpet.

    5. Connect the connector and attach the wire harness clamp under the seat.

    6. Temporarily install the front seat assembly RH with the 4 bolts.

    7. Operate the seat track adjusting handle and move the front seat assembly RH to the rearmost position.

      Tighten the 2 bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      37 N*m  { 377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

    9. Operate the seat track adjusting handle and move the front seat assembly RH to the foremost position.

    10. A00OBLIE01

      Tighten the 2 bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      37 N*m  { 377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER RH


    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the inner seat track bracket cover RH.

  3. INSTALL SEAT TRACK COVER RH


    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the seat track cover RH.

  4. INSTALL FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER RH


    1. Operate the seat track adjusting handle and move the front seat assembly RH to the rearmost position.

    2. Attach the 2 claws to install the front inner seat track bracket cover RH.

  5. INSTALL FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER RH


    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the front outer seat track bracket cover RH.

  6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the front seat headrest assembly.
