FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat) DISASSEMBLY

Tech Tips

Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.
The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.
Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

REMOVE SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB
1. Using a moulding remover, detach the 2 claws and remove the knob.
REMOVE RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB
1. Using a moulding remover, detach the 2 claws and remove the knob.
REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH
1. Disconnect the lifter motor connector.
2. Remove the screw of the front seat No. 1 inner cushion shield and detach the guide.
3. Detach the clip of the front seat No. 1 inner cushion shield.
4. Using a moulding remover, detach the 3 claws and guide.
5. Move the cushion shield in the direction of the arrow to detach the clip and remove the front seat No. 1 inner cushion shield together with the cushion shield as a unit.
6. Detach the 3 claws and open the wire harness cover.
7. Detach the 3 wire harness clamps and disconnect the seat wire connector.
REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH
1. Remove the 3 screws.
2. w/ Seat Memory System:
  
  Disconnect the 2 power seat switch connectors and remove the switch.
3. w/o Seat Memory System:
  
  Disconnect the power seat switch connector and remove the switch.
REMOVE LUMBAR SWITCH ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side)
1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws.
2. Disconnect the lumbar switch connector and remove the lumbar switch.
REMOVE FRONT SEAT NO. 1 INNER CUSHION SHIELD LH
1. Detach the 2 claws and remove the cushion shield.
REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD LH
1. Using a moulding remover, detach the 3 claws and remove the cushion shield.
REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD RH (for Front Passenger Side)
1. Using a moulding remover, detach the 4 claws and remove the cushion shield.
REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the rubber band from the seat cushion spring.
2. Detach the clamp and disconnect the No. 2 seat wire.
3. w/ Seat Heater System:
  
  Disconnect the seat heater connector and detach the seat heater wire harness clamp.
4. Detach the 2 hooks.

  w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:
  1. Detach the claw and disconnect the airbag connector.
  2. Detach the 3 airbag wire harness clamps.
  3. Detach the fastening tape and open the cover.
  4. Disconnect the airbag wire harness.
6. Remove the 4 bolts and seatback assembly.
REMOVE CAP
1. Remove the 2 caps.
REMOVE FRONT SEAT LEG COVER LH
1. Detach the 2 claws.
2. Move the cover in the direction of the arrow to remove it.
REMOVE SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD
1. w/ Seat Heater System:
  
  Disconnect the seat heater connector and detach the 3 seat heater wire harness clamps.
2. Detach the hooks.
3. for Front Passenger Side:
  
  Detach the claw and disconnect the connector
4. Remove the seat cushion cover with pad.
REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER
1. Remove the hog rings and seat cushion cover from the seat cushion pad.
REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Heater System)

*1 Tack Pin
1. Cut off the tack pins and remove the front seat cushion heater from the front seat cushion cover.
REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH
1. Detach the claw and guide, and then remove the cover.
REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH
1. Remove the screw.
2. Detach the hook and clip, and then remove the cushion shield.
REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH
1. Remove the screw.
2. Detach the hook and clip, and then remove the cushion shield.
REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH
1. Remove the screw.
2. Move the protector in the direction of the arrow to detach the hook and remove the protector.
REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH

Tech Tips

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
REMOVE SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Heater System)
1. Disconnect the connector.
2. Detach the 2 clamps and remove the seat heater control.
REMOVE FRONT SEAT WIRE LH
1. Remove the seat wire.
REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH
1. Detach the guide and remove the cover.
REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH
1. Detach the guide and remove the cover.
REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER
1. Remove the 3 hog rings.
2. Open the 2 fasteners, and then open the seatback cover.

3. w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:
  1. Remove the nut and seatback cover bracket from the seat frame.
  2. Disconnect the seatback cover bracket from the seatback pad.
4. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 headrest supports.
5. Remove the hog rings and seatback cover.
REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Heater System)

*1 Tack Pin
1. Cut off the tack pins which fasten the seatback heater to the seatback cover, and then remove the seatback heater from the seatback cover.
REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK PAD
1. Remove the seatback pad.
REMOVE NO. 2 SEAT WIRE
1. for Driver Side:
  
  Disconnect the 2 connectors.
2. for Front Passenger Side:
  
  Disconnect the connector.
3. Detach the 2 clamps and remove the seat wire.
REMOVE FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)
CAUTION:

When storing the front seat side airbag assembly, keep the airbag deployment side facing upward.

Tech Tips

Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
1. Detach the 2 clamps.
2. Remove the 2 nuts and front seat side airbag assembly.
  CAUTION:
  
  The nuts must not be reused.
  
  Make sure that the separate type front seatback spring assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.
