FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat) REMOVAL

Note


  • Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

  • If the side airbag was deployed, replace the front seat side airbag assembly, separate type front seatback spring assembly, separate type front seatback cover and separate type front seatback pad with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage.

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the front seat headrest.

  2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER TRACK BRACKET COVER LH


    1. Operate the power seat switch (slide switch) to move the seat to the rearmost position.

      Using a moulding remover, detach the 2 claws.

    3. Move the cover in the direction of the arrow to detach the 2 guides and remove the cover.

  3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER TRACK BRACKET COVER LH

      Using a moulding remover, detach the 2 claws.

    2. Move the cover in the direction of the arrow to detach the 2 claws and guide and remove the cover.

  4. REMOVE INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH


    1. Operate the power seat switch (slide switch) to move the seat to the foremost position.

      Using a moulding remover, detach the 2 claws.

    3. Move the cover in the direction of the arrow to detach the 2 guides and remove the cover.

  5. REMOVE SEAT TRACK COVER LH


    1. A00XIOU

      Using a moulding remover, detach the 2 claws.

    2. Move the cover in the direction of the arrow to detach the 4 guides and remove the cover.

  6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Operate the power seat switch (slide switch) to move the seat to the rearmost position.

    3. A00XJ3U

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    4. Operate the power seat switch (slide switch) to move the seat to the center position, and operate the power seat switch (reclining switch) to move the seatback to the upright position.

    5. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

      CAUTION:

      Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

      Note


      • After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

      • When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

    6. Disconnect the connectors under the seat.

    7. Remove the front seat assembly.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
