FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Manual Seat) INSTALLATION

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY


    1. Place the front seat assembly in the cabin.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. Connect the seat wire connectors under the seat.

    3. Temporarily install the front seat assembly with the 4 bolts.

    4. Operate the seat track adjusting handle to move the seat to the rearmost position.

      Tighten the bolts in the order indicated in the illustration.

      Torque:
      37 N*m  { 377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

    6. Operate the seat track adjusting handle to move the seat to the foremost position.

    7. A0097NBE01

      Tighten the bolts in the order indicated in the illustration.

      Torque:
      37 N*m  { 377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL SEAT TRACK COVER LH

    1. Move the cover in the direction of the arrow to attach the 4 guides.

    2. Attach the 2 claws to install the cover.

  3. INSTALL INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH

    1. Move the cover in the direction of the arrow to attach the 2 guides.

    2. Attach the 2 claws to install the cover.

  4. INSTALL FRONT SEAT OUTER TRACK BRACKET COVER LH


    1. Operate the seat track adjusting handle to move the seat to the rearmost position.

      Move the cover in the direction of the arrow to attach the 2 claws and guide.

    3. Attach the 2 claws to install the cover.

  5. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER TRACK BRACKET COVER LH

    1. Move the cover in the direction of the arrow to attach the 2 guides.

    2. Attach the 2 claws to install the cover.

  6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the front seat headrest.

  7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  8. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT


    1. Check the SRS warning light Click here.

  9. INSPECT FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY


    1. w/ Seat Heater System:

      Check the seat heater operation.


      1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

      2. Turn the seat heater switch on.

      3. Wait 5 minutes or more and confirm that the seat surface becomes warm.
