FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Walk in Seat Type) REASSEMBLY

Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the RH side.


  1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)

    CAUTION:


    • The nuts must not be reused.

    • Make sure that the separate type front seatback spring assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.


    1. Install the front seat side airbag assembly with 2 new nuts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

    2. Attach the 2 clamps.

  2. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH


    1. Install the cushion shield with the screw.

  3. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER RH


    1. Install the cover with the screw.

  4. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK PAD


    1. Install the seatback pad.

  5. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Seat Heater System)

    1. Set the seatback heater with the name stamp side facing the seatback cover.

    2. Install the seatback heater with new tack pins.

  6. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER


    1. Using hog ring pliers, install the seatback cover to the seatback pad with new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

      Tech Tips

      The number of hog rings differs according to seat type.

    2. Attach the 4 claws to install the 2 headrest supports.

      w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:


      1. Connect the seatback cover bracket to the seatback pad.

      2. Install the seatback cover bracket to the seat frame with the nut.

        Torque:
        5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

        Note

        After the seatback trim cover is assembled, make sure the side airbag strap is not twisted.

    4. Close the 2 fasteners, and then close the seatback cover.

      Using hog ring pliers, install 3 new hog rings.

  7. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

    1. Move the cover in the direction of the arrow to install the cover.

    2. Attach the guide.

  8. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  9. INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE RH


    1. Install the seat wire.

  10. INSTALL SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Seat Heater System)


    1. Attach the 2 clamps to install the seat heater control.

    2. Connect the connector.

  11. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH

    1. Move the protector in the direction of the arrow to attach the hook and 2 guides and install the protector.

    2. Install the screw.

    1. Move the protector in the direction of the arrow to attach the hook and guide and install the protector.

    2. Attach the clip.

    3. Install the screw.

  13. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Seat Heater System)

    1. Set the seat cushion heater with the name stamp side facing the seat cushion cover.

    2. Install the seat cushion heater with new tack pins.

  14. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER

    1. Using hog ring pliers, install the seat cushion cover to the seat cushion pad with new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

  15. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD


    1. Install the seat cushion cover with pad.

    2. Attach the claw to connect the connector.

    3. Install the clip.

    4. w/ Seat Heater System:

      Connect the seat heater connector and attach the 3 wire harness clamps.

  16. INSTALL CAP


    1. Install the 2 caps.

  17. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the seatback assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

    2. Attach the hook.

    3. Attach the cable clamp to connect the cable.

    4. w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:


      1. Connect the airbag wire harness.

      2. Attach the fastening tape to close the cover.

      3. Attach the 3 airbag wire harness clamps.

      4. Attach the claw and connect the airbag connector.

    5. w/ Seat Heater System:

      Connect the seat heater connector and attach the wire harness clamp.

    6. Install the rubber band to the seat cushion spring.

  18. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Install the front seat inner belt assembly RH with the nut.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not allow the anchor part of the front seat inner belt assembly to overlap the protruding parts of the front seat adjuster.

    2. Connect the 2 connectors and attach the 3 clamps.

  19. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD RH


    1. Attach the 5 claws to install the cushion shield.

  20. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH


    1. Attach the cable clamp.

    2. Attach the 2 clips and 5 claws to install the cushion shield.

    3. Install the screw.

  21. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE RH

    1. Attach the claw to install the handle.
