INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

When replacing the transponder key ECU assembly, refer to the Service Bulletin.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (SECURITY INDICATOR LIGHT)


    1. Check that the security indicator light illuminates when operating it with the Active Test Click here.

      Immobiliser

      Security Indicator Security indicator light ON/OFF

      The test is possible when the following conditions are met:


      • The key is in the ignition key cylinder.

      OK
      Security indicator light can be turned on and off using the intelligent tester.

    OK
  2. INSPECT SECURITY INDICATOR LIGHT ASSEMBLY


    1. A00O5ETE01

      Remove the security indicator light assembly Click here.

    2. Apply battery voltage between the terminals of the security indicator light assembly and check that the security indicator light illuminates.

      OK
      Measurement Condition Specified Condition

      Battery positive (+) → 2 (LP)

      Battery negative (-) → 5 (E)

      Security indicator light illuminates

    OK
  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SECURITY INDICATOR - TRANSPONDER KEY ECU AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the H23 light connector.

    2. Disconnect the G138*1 or G74*2 ECU connector.


      • *1: for 5L-E

      • *2: except 5L-E

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      for 5L-E
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H23-2 (LP) - G138-8 (IND) Always Below 1 Ω
      H23-5 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      H23-2 (LP) or G138-8 (IND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      except 5L-E
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H23-2 (LP) - G74-8 (IND) Always Below 1 Ω
      H23-5 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      H23-2 (LP) or G74-8 (IND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
