  • "ECM (Engine)" is not displayed on "Bus Check".


  • "ECM Communication Stop Mode" in "DTC Combination Table" applies.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECM - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the G59, G60 and C64 ECM connectors.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      C64-5 (E1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      C64-11 (E01) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      C64-12 (E02) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      C64-13 (ME01) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      G59-11 (EC) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G59-17 (BATT) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      G59-23 (+B) - Body ground Battery positive (+) voltage applied to terminal G60-12 (MREL) 11 to 14 V
