LIGHTING SYSTEM Hazard Warning Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The turn signal flasher receives a hazard warning signal switch information signal and illuminates the turn signal lights.

  1. INSPECT HAZARD WARNING SIGNAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY

      Remove the hazard warning signal switch Click here.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      1 (E) - 4 (B) Hazard warning signal switch on Below 1 Ω
      Hazard warning signal switch off 10 kΩ or higher
      w/o TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 4 Hazard warning signal switch on Below 1 Ω
      Hazard warning signal switch off 10 kΩ or higher

    REPLACE HAZARD WARNING SIGNAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY Click here

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HAZARD WARNING SIGNAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY - TURN SIGNAL FLASHER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND)


    • *1: w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System

    • *2: w/o TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System


    1. Disconnect the G14*1 or G15*2 hazard warning signal switch connector.

    2. Disconnect the G8 turn signal flasher connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G14-4 (B) - 8 (HAZ) Always Below 1 Ω
      G14-1 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      G14-4 (B) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      w/o TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G15-4 - 8 (HAZ) Always Below 1 Ω
      G15-1 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      G15-4 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
