DESCRIPTION

These DTCs are stored when the headlight swivel ECU detects errors in its own communication with the headlight swivel motor.

      Disconnect the A58 headlight swivel ECU connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      A58-14 (IGS) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V

      Disconnect the A58 headlight swivel ECU connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A58-22 (E1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT SWIVEL ECU ASSEMBLY - HEADLIGHT UNIT)


    1. Disconnect the A58 headlight swivel ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the A62*1 or A63*2 headlight connector.


      • *1: for LH

      • *2: for RH

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      for LH
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A58-29 (SML) - A62-2 (SML) Always Below 1 Ω
      A58-29 (SML) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      for RH
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A58-10 (SMR) - A63-2 (SMR) Always Below 1 Ω
      A58-10 (SMR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  5. CHECK HEADLIGHT UNIT (OPERATION)


    1. Temporarily replace the headlight unit (swivel motor) with a new or normally functioning one Click here.
