AUDIO AND VISUAL SYSTEM (w/o Navigation System) Microphone Circuit between Microphone and Radio Receiver

DESCRIPTION

This circuit sends a microphone signal from the telephone microphone assembly to the radio receiver assembly.

The circuit also supplies power from the radio receiver assembly to the telephone microphone assembly.

  1. CHECK RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the H30 radio receiver assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H30-5 (MIN-) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      H30-3 (MACC) - Body ground Ignition switch ACC 4.75 to 5.25 V

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER - MAP LIGHT)


    1. Disconnect the H30 radio receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the W7 map light assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H30-3 (MACC) - W7-11 (MACC) Always Below 1 Ω
      H30-2 (MIN+) - W7-12 (MCO+) Always Below 1 Ω
      H30-5 (MIN-) - W7-13 (MCO-) Always Below 1 Ω
      H30-1 (SNS2) - W7-14 (SNS2) Always Below 1 Ω
      H30-3 (MACC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H30-2 (MIN+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H30-5 (MIN-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H30-1 (SNS2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  4. CHECK MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY

      Connect an oscilloscope to terminals W7-12 (MCO+) and W7-13 (MCO-) of the map light assembly connector.

    2. Check the waveform of the telephone microphone assembly using an oscilloscope.

    1. Replace the telephone microphone assembly with a normal one Click here.

    2. Check if the same problem occurs again.

      Malfunction disappears.
