After the inspection is completed, clear the DTCs.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Disconnect the H7 and H12 stereo component amplifier assembly connectors.

    2. Clear the DTC.

    3. Check if DTC 74-40 is output.

      OK
      No DTC is output.

  2. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Reconnect the H12 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.

    2. Check if DTC 74-40 is output.

      OK
      No DTC is output.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER - SPEAKER)


    • *1: for RH

    • *2: for LH


    1. Disconnect the H7 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the H10*1 and/or H13*2 front No. 1 speaker assembly connector.

    3. Disconnect the H21*1 and/or H22*2 front No. 3 speaker assembly connector.

    4. Disconnect the H14 front No. 4 speaker assembly connector.

    5. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H7-1 (FL+) - H22-1 (TWL+) Always Below 1 Ω
      H7-2 (FR+) - H21-1 (TWR+) Always Below 1 Ω

    1. Disconnect the H21 front No. 3 speaker assembly RH connector.

    2. Disconnect the H10 front No. 1 speaker assembly RH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Temporarily replace the front No. 3 speaker assembly with a new or normally functioning one Click here.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    2. Disconnect the J4*1 and/or K3*2 front No. 2 speaker assembly connector.

    3. for 5 Doors:

      Disconnect the L1*1 and/or M1*2 rear No. 1 speaker assembly connector.

    4. for 3 Doors:

      Disconnect the Q32*1 and/or R37*2 rear No. 1 speaker assembly connector.

    5. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
