CB-44 An incompatible file system or USB device with a corrupted or incompatible File Allocation Table (FAT) is connected.
CB-50 "iPod" malfunction
  • "iPod"

  • Multi-media interface ECU

CB-51 An "iPod" with unsupported firmware is connected.
CB-7D An unsupported model of "iPod" is connected.

Tech Tips

After the inspection is completed, clear the DTCs.

PROCEDURE


  1. REPLACE USB DEVICE OR "iPod"


    1. Disconnect the USB device or "iPod" from the stereo jack adapter.

    2. Turn the ignition switch off.

      Tech Tips

      When one of these DTCs has been stored, it is necessary to turn off the ignition switch to make it possible for the vehicle to recognize a new device when it is connected.

    3. Turn the ignition switch to ACC.

    4. Connect a known good USB device or "iPod" to the stereo jack adapter.

      Tech Tips


      • If the malfunction occurred when a USB device was in use, use another USB device for the inspection. If the malfunction occurred when an "iPod" was in use, use another "iPod" for the inspection.

  2. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Check for DTCs and check if the same DTC occurs again.

      Tech Tips

      If DTCs are output frequently, replace the multi-media interface ECU.

      OK
      Malfunction disappears.
