REMOVE CYLINDER BOOT
Using a screwdriver, remove the cylinder boot from the rear disc brake cylinder.
Tech Tips
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE PISTON
Place a cloth or equivalent between the rear disc brake piston and rear disc brake cylinder.
Using compressed air, remove the rear disc brake piston from the rear disc brake cylinder.
CAUTION:
Do not place your fingers in front of the piston when using compressed air.
Note
Do not spatter the brake fluid.
REMOVE PISTON SEAL
Using a screwdriver, remove the piston seal from the rear disc brake cylinder.
Tech Tips
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
Note
Do not damage the inner cylinder or cylinder groove.
REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE BLEEDER PLUG CAP
REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE BLEEDER PLUG
Remove the bleeder plug from the rear disc brake cylinder.
