VACUUM PUMP (for 5L-E) INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL VACUUM PUMP ASSEMBLY


    1. Align the matchmarks and install the vacuum pump to the generator with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.8 N*m  { 80 kgf*cm, 69 in.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL GENERATOR WITH VACUUM PUMP ASSEMBLY

  3. CHECK VACUUM PUMP ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the vacuum pump.

      *1 Vacuum Gauge
      *2 Plug

      Connect the hose of a vacuum gauge to the pump.

    3. Insert a plug into the other hose of the gauge.

    4. Start the engine and warm it up for more than 2 minutes.

    5. With the engine idling, measure the negative pressure of the pump.

      Standard negative pressure
      More than 86.7 kPa (650 mmHg, 26 in.Hg)

    6. Remove the gauge from the pump.

    7. Connect the hose to the pump with the clip.
