Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.
The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.
Note
Make sure to release the vacuum from the brake booster before removing the master cylinder from the brake booster.
DRAIN BRAKE FLUID
Note
Wash off brake fluid immediately if it comes in contact with any painted surface.
REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE (for 2TR-FE RHD)
Remove the air cleaner case Click here.
REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE ASSEMBLY (for 5L-E RHD)
Remove the air cleaner case assembly Click here.
REMOVE CLUTCH TUBE (for Manual Transmission LHD)
Slide the clip and disconnect the clutch tube.
REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Remove the brake master cylinder sub-assembly Click here.
REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL RETURN SPRING
REMOVE PUSH ROD PIN
Remove the clip and push rod pin from the brake pedal.
DISCONNECT BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS
Loosen the brake master cylinder push rod clevis lock nut.
Disconnect the push rod clevis.
DISCONNECT VACUUM HOSE

| *B | for RHD |
Slide the clip and disconnect the vacuum hose.
REMOVE BRAKE VACUUM CHECK VALVE ASSEMBLY
Remove the vacuum check valve assembly from the brake booster assembly.
REMOVE CHECK VALVE GROMMET
Remove the check valve grommet from the brake booster assembly.
REMOVE CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER ASSEMBLY (for RHD)
Remove the clutch master cylinder assembly Click here.
DISCONNECT BRAKE TUBE CLAMP (for RHD)
Remove the brake tube from the 2 brake tube clamps.
Disconnect the 2 brake tube clamps from the body.
REMOVE BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY
Remove the 4 nuts and brake booster assembly from the body.
Note
Do not damage the brake lines.
REMOVE BRAKE BOOSTER GASKET
Remove the brake booster gasket from the brake booster assembly.
REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS
Loosen the lock nut and remove the brake master cylinder push rod clevis and lock nut from the brake booster assembly.
