ABSORBER CONTROL ACTUATOR REMOVAL

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note


    • After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

    • When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  2. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL

  3. REMOVE ABSORBER CONTROL ACTUATOR LH

      Detach the 3 clamps, and then disconnect the connector.

    2. Using a hexagon wrench (4 mm), remove the 2 hexagon socket head cap bolts and absorber control actuator.

      Note

      Replace the absorber control actuator with a new one if it is dropped.

  4. REMOVE SUSPENSION CONTROL BRACKET LH

      Using SST, remove the nut and bracket.
