Either condition is met:


  • The vehicle identification information is not stored.

  • The information stored in the suspension control ECU and the vehicle identification information received through CAN communication system do not match.

  • Suspension control ECU

  • ECM

Note


  • When replacing the suspension control ECU, perform registration Click here.

  • Do not exchange the suspension control ECU with a normally functioning one from another vehicle to perform troubleshooting.

      DTC C1789/89 is not output.

    CHECK PART NUMBER Click here

  3. CHECK PART NUMBER


    1. Check that the part number of the installed ECM is correct (for 1KD-FTV: Click here, for 1GR-FE: Click here.

      Note

      When removing the ECM to check the part number, or when replacing the ECM, be sure to follow the appropriate procedures and precautions.

      Tech Tips

      If no parts are replaced and DTC C1789/89 is output, there may be an internal malfunction in the suspension control ECU. In this case, replace the suspension control ECU.
