Tech Tips
Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
The procedure listed below is for the LH side.
INSTALL FRONT AXLE HUB SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
Apply MP grease to a new O-ring.
Install the O-ring to the axle hub.
Install the dust cover and axle hub to the steering knuckle with the 4 bolts.
INSTALL FRONT AXLE SHAFT NUT
Clean the threaded parts on the drive shaft and axle shaft nut using a non-residue solvent.
Note
Be sure to perform this work for a new drive shaft.
Keep the threaded parts free of oil and foreign objects.
Install the front axle shaft nut.
Install the adjusting cap and cotter pin.
INSTALL FRONT AXLE HUB GREASE CAP
Install a new axle hub grease cap.
Note
Make sure the grease cap is securely installed to the axle hub.
INSTALL FRONT DISC
Align the matchmarks and install the front disc.
Tech Tips
When replacing the disc with a new one, select the installation position where the disc has the smallest runout.
INSTALL DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY LH
Install the disc brake cylinder assembly with the 2 bolts.
Using a union nut wrench, connect the brake tube to the disc brake cylinder assembly.

Use the formula to calculate special torque values for situations where a union nut wrench is combined with a torque wrench Click here.
BLEED BRAKE LINE
for Hydraulic Brake Booster:
Bleed the brake line Click here.
for Vacuum Brake Booster:
Bleed the brake line Click here.
CHECK FOR FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR
for Hydraulic Brake Booster:
Check the brake fluid level in reservoir Click here.
for Vacuum Brake Booster:
Check the brake fluid level in reservoir Click here.
CHECK FOR BRAKE FLUID LEAK
INSTALL FRONT WHEEL
ADJUST FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT
Adjust the front wheel alignment Click here.
CHECK SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL
Inspect the speed sensor signal Click here.
