INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

First check that the low beam headlights operate normally.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HEADLIGHT CLEANER CONTROL RELAY (HDLO VOLTAGE)

      (Headlight Cleaner Control Relay)

      Disconnect the A38 headlight cleaner control relay connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      A38-1 (HDLO) - Body ground Headlight dimmer switch in head 11 to 14 V
      A38-1 (HDLO) - Body ground Headlight dimmer switch not in head Below 1 V

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
