WIPER AND WASHER SYSTEM FAIL-SAFE CHART


  1. FRONT WIPER SYSTEM

    The following measures are taken as a fail-safe when any malfunction is detected by the windshield wiper switch.

    Trouble Area Fail-safe Control
    Wiper Motor The operation of the rain sensing function stops.
    Communication Signal

    Rain sensing function:


    • The wiper operation continues at the speed that it was operating at prior to the malfunction.


    • Switches to the intermittent operation if a malfunction of the rain sensor is detected when the ignition switch is turned from off to ON or the wiper switch is in AUTO position.

    Wiper switch operation:


    • The wiper operation continues at the speed that it was operating at prior to the malfunction.
