POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH INSPECTION

  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.


  1. INSPECT MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (for 5 Door)

    Component without harness connected

    (Multiplex Network Master Switch Assembly)

    1. Check that the LED illuminates.


      1. Apply battery voltage to the master switch and check that the LED illuminates.

        OK
        Measurement Condition Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → 18 (LED)

        Battery negative (-) → 12 (GND)

        		 LED illuminates

        • If the result is not as specified, replace the multiplex network master switch assembly.

  2. INSPECT MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (for 3 Door)

    1. Check that the LED illuminates.


      1. Apply battery voltage to the master switch and check that the LED illuminates.

        OK
        Measurement Condition Specified Condition

        Battery negative (-) → 12 (GND)

        		 LED illuminates

        • If the result is not as specified, replace the multiplex network master switch assembly.
