ROOF HEADLINING (for 5 Door) DISASSEMBLY

  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.


  1. REMOVE ROOF SIDE AIR OUTLET REGISTER (w/ Rear Air Conditioning System)

    Use the same procedure for all roof side air outlet registers.


    1. Detach 6 claws and remove the roof side air outlet register.

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 ROOF SILENCER PAD (w/o Sliding Roof)

    1. Remove the 2 No. 1 roof silencer pads.

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 ROOF SILENCER PAD (w/o Sliding Roof)

    1. Remove the No. 2 roof silencer pad.

  4. REMOVE NO. 3 ROOF SILENCER PAD

    1. Remove the No. 3 roof silencer pad.

  5. REMOVE NO. 4 ROOF SILENCER PAD (w/o Sliding Roof)

    1. Remove the No. 4 roof silencer pad.

  6. REMOVE VANITY LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Detach the 2 claws labeled A and separate the bulb holder from the vanity light as shown in the illustration.

    2. Detach the claw labeled B and remove the vanity light.

  7. REMOVE VANITY LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  8. REMOVE NO. 1 ROOF WIRE


    1. Turn the visor connectors approximately 90° clockwise and remove them from the roof headlining.

    2. Detach each clamp and remove the No. 1 roof wire.

    3. Remove any butyl tape remaining on the roof headlining.

  9. REMOVE NO. 2 ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. w/o Sliding Roof:


      1. for Diversity:

        Including the notch in the part of the illustration labeled A, detach the antenna cord from the 6 clamps and the 2 notches on the rear of the roof headlining.

      2. for Non Diversity:

        Not including the notch in the part of the illustration labeled A, detach the antenna cord from the 6 clamps and the notch on the rear of the roof headlining.

      3. Remove the antenna cord from the roof headlining.

      4. Remove the double-sided tape from the roof headlining.

    2. w/ Sliding Roof:


      1. for Diversity:

        Including the notch in the part of the illustration labeled A, detach the antenna cord from the 11 clamps and the 2 notches on the rear of the roof headlining.

      2. for Non Diversity:

        Not including the notch in the part of the illustration labeled A, detach the antenna cord from the 11 clamps and the notch on the rear of the roof headlining.

      3. Remove the antenna cord from the roof headlining.

      4. Remove the double-sided tape from the roof headlining.
