RELAY (w/ PTC Heater) ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION


  1. REMOVE PTC HEATER RELAY (PTC HTR SUB NO. 1, PTC HTR SUB NO. 2 AND PTC HTR SUB NO. 3)

      Remove the 3 PTC heater relays from the engine room relay block.

  2. INSPECT PTC HEATER RELAY (PTC HTR SUB NO. 1, PTC HTR SUB NO. 2 AND PTC HTR SUB NO. 3)

    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3 - 5 Battery voltage not applied between terminals 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher
      Battery voltage applied to terminals 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω

      • If the result is not as specified, replace the relay.

  3. INSTALL PTC HEATER RELAY (PTC HTR SUB NO. 1, PTC HTR SUB NO. 2 AND PTC HTR SUB NO. 3)


    1. Install the 3 PTC heater relays to the engine room relay block.
