FUEL SUB TANK REMOVAL


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note


    • After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

    • When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  2. REMOVE NO. 2 FUEL TANK PROTECTOR

      Remove the 5 bolts and No. 2 fuel tank protector.

  3. DISCONNECT FUEL HOSE


    1. A00O66R

      Disconnect the fuel evaporation hose, fuel breather hose and 3 fuel hoses.

  4. DISCONNECT FUEL TANK TO FILLER PIPE HOSE


    1. A00O7IN

      Disconnect the fuel tank to filler pipe hose from the filler pipe.

  5. DISCONNECT FUEL TANK BREATHER HOSE


    1. A00O9SU

      Disconnect the fuel tank breather hose from the filler pipe.

  6. REMOVE FUEL SUB TANK SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A00O7EC

      Disconnect the fuel sender gauge connector.

    2. Set a transmission jack underneath the fuel sub tank.

    3. A00O36B

      Remove the 4 bolts and disconnect the 2 fuel tank bands.

    4. Remove the fuel sub tank.

  7. REMOVE FUEL TANK VENT TUBE ASSEMBLY


    1. A00O3XU

      Detach the wire harness clamp.

    2. Remove the 8 screws and fuel tank vent tube.

      Note

      Be careful not to bend the arm of the fuel sender gauge.

    3. Remove the gasket from the fuel tank vent tube.

  8. REMOVE FUEL TANK TO FILLER PIPE HOSE

      Remove the fuel tank to filler pipe hose from the fuel sub tank.

  9. REMOVE FUEL TANK BREATHER HOSE


    1. A00O8VX

      Remove the fuel tank breather hose from the fuel sub tank.
