FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR ASSEMBLY

      *1 New O-Ring

      Apply a light coat of spindle oil or gasoline to a new O-ring and install the O-ring to the fuel pressure regulator.

    2. Install the fuel pressure regulator with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      9.0 N*m  { 92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf }

    3. Connect the vacuum hose.

  2. CONNECT NO. 2 FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect the No. 2 fuel pipe sub-assembly Click here.

  3. INSTALL INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK


    1. Install the intake air surge tank Click here.

  4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  5. INSPECT FOR FUEL LEAK


    1. Make sure that there are no fuel leaks after performing maintenance on the fuel system.


      1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

      2. Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the intelligent tester on.

        Note

        Do not start the engine.

      3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Active Test / Control the Fuel Pump / Speed.

      4. Check that there are no leaks from the fuel system.

        If there are fuel leaks, repair or replace parts as necessary.

      5. Turn the ignition switch off.

      6. Disconnect the intelligent tester from the DLC3.
