ECD SYSTEM FAIL-SAFE CHART

If any of the following DTCs are stored, the ECM enters fail-safe mode.

12 TCV duty is fixed at 30%. 2 or more TDC signals are detected for 4 engine revolutions
13 (2)

  • Fuel cut is performed.

  • TCV duty is fixed at 2%.

  • Throttle valve is closed.

 2 or more NE signals are detected in 0.5 sec.
15 (4) The engine power is limited Ignition switch off
18 (5)

  • Fuel cut is performed.

  • Throttle valve is closed.

 Ignition switch off or engine started
19 (1) The engine power is limited Ignition switch off
19 (2) The engine power is limited Ignition switch off
22 Engine coolant temp. is fixed at 9°C (48°F). Returns to normal
23 Intake air temp. is fixed at 130°C (266°F). Returns to normal
35 Intake air pressure is fixed at 101.3 kPa (760 mmHg, 30 in.Hg). Returns to normal
39 (5) Fuel temp. is fixed at 20°C (68°F). Returns to normal
42 Vehicle speed is fixed at 0 km/h (0 mph). Vehicle speed is more than 10 km/h (6 mph)
