STARTER (for 2.0 kW Type) REMOVAL


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note


    • After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

    • When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  2. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the 4 bolts and rear engine under cover.

  3. REMOVE TRANSMISSION OIL FILLER TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transmission)

    1. Remove the transmission oil dipstick.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and oil filler tube.

    3. Remove the O-ring from the oil filler tube.

  4. DISCONNECT CLUTCH RELEASE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transmission)

    1. Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the release cylinder assembly.

  5. REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY

      Remove the terminal cap.

    2. Remove the nut, and then disconnect the starter wire harness.

    3. Disconnect the starter connector.

      for Automatic Transmission:

      Remove the 2 bolts and starter.

    5. for Manual Transmission:

        Remove the bolt and disconnect the clutch flexible hose bracket.

      2. Remove the bolt and starter.
