STARTER (for 2.2 kW Type) DISASSEMBLY


  1. REMOVE STARTER YOKE ASSEMBLY


    1. A00954CE01

      Remove the nut and disconnect the lead wire from terminal C.

    2. A0094J8E01

      Remove the 2 bolts and 2 O-rings.

    3. Pull out the starter yoke together with the starter armature.

    4. Remove the O-ring from the starter yoke.

  2. REMOVE MAGNET STARTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 bolts and magnet starter switch.

      *4 Clutch Roller
      *5 Retainer
      *6 Starter Clutch
      *7 Starter Housing

      Remove the return spring, pinion gear, idler gear, clutch roller, retainer and starter clutch from the starter housing.

      *1 Magnet Hand

      Using a magnet hand, remove the steel ball from the starter clutch hole.

  3. REMOVE STARTER BRUSH HOLDER ASSEMBLY

    1. Disconnect the 4 starter yoke brushes from the starter brush holder.


      1. Using a screwdriver, pull back the spring.

      2. Disconnect the brush from the starter brush holder.

    2. Remove the starter brush holder from the starter yoke.

  4. REMOVE STARTER ARMATURE ASSEMBLY

      Using a plastic-faced hammer, tap the starter yoke to remove the starter armature from the starter yoke.
