AIR CONDITIONING UNIT DISASSEMBLY

  1. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Disengage the 2 claws and guide, and remove the No. 1 air duct sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

  2. REMOVE NO. 6 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT ASSEMBLY

    1. Disengage the 2 claws and 2 guides, and remove the No. 6 heater to register duct assembly as shown in the illustration.

  3. REMOVE COOLER THERMISTOR HOSE (for Automatic Air Conditioning System)

    1. Disengage the clamp and remove the cooler thermistor hose.

  4. REMOVE ASPIRATOR

    1. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the aspirator.

  5. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING HARNESS ASSEMBLY (for Manual Air Conditioning System)

    1. Remove the heater packing as shown in the illustration.

    2. Disconnect the 4 connectors.

    3. Disengage the 5 clamps and remove the air conditioning harness assembly.

  6. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING HARNESS ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Air Conditioning System)

    1. Remove the heater packing as shown in the illustration.

    2. Disconnect the 5 connectors.

    3. Disengage the 5 clamps and remove the air conditioning harness assembly.

  7. REMOVE COOLER EXPANSION VALVE

    1. Using a 4 mm hexagon wrench, remove the 2 hexagon bolts and cooler expansion valve.

  8. REMOVE BLOWER ASSEMBLY WITH COOLER EVAPORATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the 6 screws.

    2. Disengage the 4 claws and remove the blower assembly with cooler evaporator sub-assembly.

  9. REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER THERMISTOR

    1. Disengage the 2 clamps.

    2. Remove the No. 1 cooler thermistor.

  10. REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER EVAPORATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the No. 1 cooler evaporator sub-assembly from the blower assembly as shown in the illustration.

    2. Remove the 2 O-rings from the No. 1 cooler evaporator sub-assembly.

  11. REMOVE NO. 2 AIR CONDITIONING RADIATOR DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Air Conditioning System)

    1. Remove the 2 screws and No. 2 air conditioning radiator damper servo sub-assembly.

  12. REMOVE HEATER RADIATOR UNIT SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Disengage the 3 claws and remove the heater clamp.

    2. Remove the screw and clamp.

    3. Remove the heater radiator unit sub-assembly from the air conditioning radiator assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Prepare a drain pan or cloth in case the cooling water leaks.

  13. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CONDITIONING RADIATOR DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the 3 screws and then the No. 2 air conditioning radiator damper servo servo sub-assembly.
