TIRE PRESSURE WARNING RECEIVER REMOVAL

Tech Tips

The type of tire pressure warning ECU and receiver used on this model differs according to the specifications of the vehicles. The expressions listed in the table below are used in this section.

Note

After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work Click here.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.
REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
1. Disengage the hook of the seat cushion from the vehicle body as shown in the illustration.
  
  Note
  
  Follow the instructions below carefully as the cushion frame can be deformed easily.
  1. Choose a hook to disengage first. Place your hands near the hook as shown in the illustration. Then lift the seat cushion to disengage the hook.
    
    Standard Measurement
    
    a 100 mm (3.94 in.) or less
  2. Repeat the step above for the other hook.
2. Remove the rear seat cushion assembly.
REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK
1. Disengage the claw and remove the rear seat cushion lock hook.
  
  Note
  
  Rear seat cushion lock hooks must not be reused.
  
  Tech Tips
  
  Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side.
REMOVE REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH (w/o Intuitive Parking Assist System)
1. Disconnect the rear seat outer belt from the rear seat shoulder belt guide.
2. Disconnect the connector.
3. Remove the 2 bolts.
4. Disengage the hook and remove the rear side seatback assembly RH.
DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH (w/o Intuitive Parking Assist System)
1. Disconnect the rear door opening trim weatherstrip RH.
REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH RH (w/o Intuitive Parking Assist System)

Use the same procedure as for the LH side Click here.
REMOVE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU AND RECEIVER (w/o Intuitive Parking Assist System)
1. Remove the bolt.
2. Disengage the 2 tabs from the holes to remove the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver.
3. Disconnect the connector from the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver.
REMOVE REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)
1. Disconnect the rear seat outer belt from the rear seat shoulder belt guide.
2. Disconnect the connector.
3. Remove the 2 bolts.
4. Disengage the hook and remove the rear side seatback assembly LH.
DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)
1. Disconnect the rear door opening trim weatherstrip LH.
REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH LH (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)
1. Disengage the 5 clips.
2. Disengage the guide and remove the roof side inner garnish LH.
REMOVE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU AND RECEIVER (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)
1. Remove the bolt.
2. Disengage the 2 tabs from the holes to remove the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver.
3. Disconnect the connector from the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver.
