SHIFT PADDLE SWITCH INSPECTION

  1. INSPECT SHIFT PADDLE SWITCH (TRANSMISSION SHIFT SWITCH ASSEMBLY)

    1. Measure the resistance between each terminal when the shift paddle switch is moved to each position.

      Transmission Shift Switch LH:
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      3 (ECC) - 2 (SFTD)

      Pull "-" continuously

      (Down-shift)

      		 Below 1 Ω
      Release 10 kΩ or higher
      4 (ECC1) - 2 (SFTD)

      Pull "-" continuously

      (Down-shift)

      		 Below 1 Ω
      Release 10 kΩ or higher
      Transmission Shift Switch RH:
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      3 (SFTU) - 2 (ECC1)

      Pull "+" continuously

      (Up-shift)

      		 Below 1 Ω
      Release 10 kΩ or higher

      If the resistance values are not as specified, replace the shift paddle switch (transmission shift switch assembly).
