Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

  • When removing the stripe tape, heat the vehicle body and stripe tape using a heat light.

Standard Heating Temperature
Item Temperature
Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
Stripe Tape 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

Note

Do not heat the vehicle body and stripe tape excessively.


  1. REMOVE FENDER STRIPE LH


    1. A01565B

      for Type A:

      Remove the fender stripe.


      1. Pull back an edge of the stripe tape and pull it parallel to the vehicle body to remove it.

        Tech Tips

        For snorkel-equipped vehicles, there is no Fender Stripe RH.

      for Type B:

      Remove the fender stripe.


      1. Pull back an edge of the stripe tape and pull it parallel to the vehicle body to remove it.

  2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR STRIPE LH

      for Type A:

      Remove the front door stripe.


      1. Pull back an edge of the stripe tape and pull it parallel to the vehicle body to remove it.

    2. A015DJN

      for Type B:

      Remove the front door stripe.


      1. Pull back an edge of the stripe tape and pull it parallel to the vehicle body to remove it.

  3. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE STRIPE LH


    1. A015BL8

      for Type A:

      Remove the rear door outside stripe.


      1. Pull back an edge of the stripe tape and pull it parallel to the vehicle body to remove it.

    2. A015BYK

      for Type B:

      Remove the rear door outside stripe.


      1. Pull back an edge of the stripe tape and pull it parallel to the vehicle body to remove it.

  4. REMOVE FRONT QUARTER STRIPE LH

      Remove the front quarter stripe.


      1. Pull back an edge of the stripe tape and pull it parallel to the vehicle body to remove it.

      1. Pull back an edge of the stripe tape and pull it parallel to the vehicle body to remove it.
