LIGHTING SYSTEM License Plate Light Circuit

DESCRIPTION

When the light switch TAIL signal is received from the cowl side junction block ECU, the license plate light illuminates.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT FUSE (TAIL FUSE)


    1. Remove the TAIL fuse from the main body ECU.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      TAIL fuse Always Below 1 Ω

    NG

    REPLACE FUSE

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU - BATTERY)


    1. A015DGJE01

      Disconnect the 2A ECU connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      2A-1 - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V

    NG

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  3. CHECK VEHICLE TYPE


    1. Check the vehicle type.

    1. Disconnect the 2C ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the W2 light connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      2C-22 - W2-1 (B) Always Below 1 Ω
      W2-2 (E) - Body ground
      W2-1 (B) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (LICENSE PLATE LIGHT - MAIN BODY ECU AND BODY GROUND)

    2. Disconnect the h2 light connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      2C-22 - h2-1 Always Below 1 Ω
      h2-2 - Body ground
      h2-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (LICENSE PLATE LIGHT - MAIN BODY ECU AND BODY GROUND)

    1. Disconnect the 2C ECU connector.

    2. for LH:


      1. Disconnect the S3 light connector.

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        2C-22 - S3-1 Always Below 1 Ω
        S3-2 - Body ground
        S3-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    3. for RH:


      1. Disconnect the S2 light connector.

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        2C-22 - S2-1 Always Below 1 Ω
        S2-2 - Body ground
        S2-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
